Creating an account/newsletter subscription
To make a purchase on our website you are not required to register. You can proceed to checkout as a visitor should you not wish to open an account. However, to be able to use some of the services and features or to be notified of any promotional offers, discounts and/or special events, you may need to create an account or subscribe to our newsletter. You do not need to create an account to subscribe to our newsletter, but can opt to do so once you have created an account and have signed in. When you register, you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current and complete in all respects. The account password you provide should be unique and kept secure. You must notify customerservice@guiltypleasures.boutique immediately in the case of any breaches in security or unauthorised use of your account. Should any of your registration information change you can sign in to your account by clicking on the ‘My Account’ tab on the right hand corner of the menu on the home page and update/edit your personal information, billing and shipping address(s). We may change account requirements from time to time so please check for updates on a regular basis.
Placing an order
– Acceptance of your offer
Once you have made your choice and your order has been placed, you will receive an e-mail acknowledging the details of your order. This e-mail is NOT an acceptance of your order, just an acknowledgement that we have received it. Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Guilty Pleasures Boutique will be completed when we e-mail you to confirm the goods have been dispatched. For the avoidance of doubt, the contract has been concluded in The Netherlands, in the Dutch and English language and is therefore governed by Dutch law.
We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event that we do not obtain authorization for payment; that shipping restrictions apply to a particular item; or that the item ordered is out of stock.
We may refuse to process and therefore accept a transaction for any reason, or refuse service to anyone at any time at our sole discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from the website at any time, whether or not that particular product has been sold out.
– Eligibility to purchase
In order to make purchases through the website, you are requested to provide your personal details. Customers must provide their real name, billing address, shipping address, phone number, e-mail address and other requested information as indicated. Furthermore, when ordering items, you will be required to provide your payment details, and you represent and warrant that the payment details you provide on ordering are both valid and correct. Our site is only available for use to individuals who meet our terms of eligibility and who have been issued with a valid debit/credit card by a bank acceptable to Guilty Pleasures Boutique and whose applications are acceptable to Guilty Pleasures Boutique. Guilty Pleasures Boutique reserves the right to refuse to ship multiple items to any one customer or postal address.
By making an offer to purchase Guilty Pleasures Boutique merchandise you expressly authorise us to perform credit checks and where we deem necessary, to request additional information from third parties in order to authenticate your identity and validate your credit/debit card details in order to process your order.
If you are shopping for the first time on www.guiltypleasures.boutique your billing address must match your shipping or corporate address, as appears on the statement of your card. This is a security measure and only applies to your first purchase. Please note that checks will be carried out to ensure that your billing and shipping addresses match on your first purchase.
Pricing policy
The prices are indicated in € and excluding VAT. The price including VAT is visualized on each individual product page and the total amount of the order including shipping can be seen in the shopping cart on the checkout page. For products supplied to clients within the European Community, the NL VAT rate of 21% is applied. Clients based in countries outside of the European Community will not be charged VAT.
Please note that your order may be subject to import duties and taxes over which we have no control as they are levied by your tax and customs office. As the customer and importer of the goods, you will be responsible for these charges. Import duties or tax costs will be invoiced to you directly from the appointed forwarder. We recommend you contact your local customs authority to determine a landed cost price prior to purchase completion. Guilty Pleasures Boutique is not responsible for any delays on goods that have been held back as a result of procedures carried out by your local customs authorities.
Guilty Pleasures Boutique has added the feature of viewing prices in EUR ,GBP, USD and a variety of more currencies via the currency converter tab within the shop section of the website. The currency converter is directly linked to the Forex and rates used are in real time, however the product prices in currencies other than in € are only indicative. When making a purchase with your credit card and/or a Paypal account you will be debited in € regardless of the currency selected and the € equivalent of the currency your account is held in will be debited from your account. The rates used will vary and depend on the spot rates applied by your credit card/account provider.
Payment
– By card
Payment can be made by Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Visa Delta, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro debit cards, and other credit card payments are processed via Paypal, a secure payment gateway provider. For more information on Paypal, please refer to www.paypal.com PayPal is an online payment processing company widely used on the Internet to facilitate sales transactions, including credit card payments. When you proceed with making your online purchase and you select PayPal as a method of payment you will be transferred to the PayPal site where your transaction will be processed. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon receipt of an order acknowledgement email. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to Guilty Pleasures Boutique, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery.
Guilty Pleasures Boutique’s website and online shop is self-hosted and runs on WordPress and Woocommerce. Our store includes a 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology Certificate used by the store shopping cart. In addition, our hosting is Level 1 PCI Compliant.
Furthermore, we take reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Site.
– By wire transfer
We also accept payment by electronic wire transfers. Currently we can only process Dutch payments this way. Should you wish to place an order and pay in this way please choose the Ideal option.
–Gift Cards
Guilty Pleasures Virtual and Physical Gift Cards are sold subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from date of purchase.
- Gift Cards can be redeemed against all products on the online shop.
- Gift Cards are non transferable and may not be returned or redeemed for cash.
- In order to redeem your Gift Card online, the total value of your order must exceed the Gift Card value. If your order is less than the value of the Gift Card you must contact the boutique by emailing customerservice@guiltypleasures.boutique in order to finalise your order and be re-issued with the a new credit amount which may be used against future orders.
- If your order total is less than the value of the Gift Card, the remaining balance can be used as credit against future orders.
- If your order exceeds the value of the Gift Card and you have existing store credit, this can be redeemed to cover the remaining balance. All remaining balances exceeding the value of your gift credit or store credit must be paid by credit or debit card.
- If you return products you have purchased using a Gift Card, the remaining balance will be credited to your account as store credit and will be redeemed against subsequent orders.
- Gift Cards will be e-mailed to the recipient once the full order has been processed and payment has been taken. A copy will also be sent to the sender as confirmation of dispatch.
- Guilty Pleasures Boutique is not liable for delivery of a Virtual Gift Card to an incorrect or non-existent email address. This is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
- Guilty Pleasures Boutique is not responsible if a Gift Card is lost, stolen, destroyed or used without permission.
- Guilty Pleasures Boutique reserves the right to cancel a Gift Card if we deem such action necessary.
- Sales tax and shipping is applicable on any products purchased with a Guilty Pleasures Boutique.
Delivery and packaging
Guilty Pleasures Boutique aims to dispatch your order within 48 hours of receipt of payment details – excluding weekends, bank holidays and public holidays. This is subject to credit clearance and availability of stock. If a particular product is not in stock, or sold out we may be able to make it exclusively for you. To offer you the most secure and efficient service we have chosen PostNL for local shipping and UPS or DHL for other deliveries. As soon as your order has been shipped you will receive a dispatch confirmation with the tracking number from the corresponding delivery company, together with details on how to track your order. Please note that these services might not be available during the festive and pre-festive days. Also note that the estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only, and Guilty Pleasures Boutique is not responsible for any delays caused by destination customs clearance processes.
Guilty Pleasures Boutique insures each purchase for the time it is in transit only. A signature is required for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods is passed to you.
